'seeds' painting, update

I worked a little on the background to my acrylic painting 'Seeds'.

'Seeds', acrylics, 14 by 10 ins approx., paper.

I added some clouds to the sky of the 'seeds' painting.... for a sunset look.

'Girl in a hat', watercolours, A4 cardstock.

This was a quick doodle in pencil and watercolour to try out loose non-realistic painting effects.

'Dreamer', art journal, A5.

A journal spread to try out a new glue pen from +Create & Craft TV , tonic studios , UK.  Its called a 'Nuvo' glue pen which I bought along with some gold flakes for gilding projects.  It seems really good with very firm gluing ability...I think it would stick just about anything down.  Plus its a pen...no sticky fingers.

Apart from these, I started making some fabric paper, using normal PVA runny glue and got all sticky, after all.

What wonderful variety on your blog this week, June! I love the watercolour very much. Seeds looks like it's progressing brilliantly and I really like the idea of the glue pen. I must check that out. xx

I adore the vivid colours of the first piece - so strong and powerful - and the delicate watercolours of the girl in the hat in contrast. Beautiful works.

I can't decide which I like better, the gorgeous colours in the top one, or the lovely washes in the face... they are both wonderful

Love your use of color, June! Your drawings are always so vibrant and strong. I also really like the expression on the girl in the last one. She looks very happy and amused by the dragonfly. (I love dragonflies! I see lots of them her along the southeastern coast of the US...)
