'Masks', journal page.
I did mostly collage for this, using up decorative papers for the background, and also some shiny bling beads.
I added a couple of ATCs which I had previously made for a possible swap and which were on the 'mask' theme. The left page has an ATC with a 'cat-girl' mask; and the right page has an ATC with a girl off to a masked ball.
These ATCs got me thinking of masked balls and probably the idea of French 18th century, when it seems that balls of this sort were in vogue, and this influenced my choice of richly patterned papers for the background. I was hoping for the 'feel' of a ball scene.
To date, I have one shop bought mask and I have been to one masked ball/party where I wore a hand-made tiger face mask. I like the look of masks but not keen on having them on my face as they feel sweaty!!
Have a good weekend.
Bye.....

I really love this journal page. There is something really thrilling in your choice of colours and contrast. I have a collection of Venetian and Balinese masks and they are really beautiful art works in themselves. I agree that wearing an actual, physical mask can be uncomfortable unless they are crafted for comfort.x
Hi June, love your use of linears........to focus and delight......thanks.
Gorgeous pages June! Absolutely love your color and added bling- yes, makes me feel as if I was at the ball viewing these! ")
I agree with you about the masks, I too don't like the sweaty feel! hehee
