Flora, and others

Some art work from this week:-

'Flora', acrylics with pen, 12 by 12 ins., paper

Scarab', ATC, ink-tense and watercolours on card

My painting of Flora this week was enlarged from one of my early ATCs.  The original ATC was in watercolour and pen but I switched to acrylics and pen for the larger version.  I painted Flora using glazing layers which takes time to do but gives depth of colour due to overlaying of thin transparent washes.  Flora was the Roman goddess of Spring and flowering plants.

The scarab is an ATC for the current Egypt swap on atcsforall.com.  I used ink-tense for the beetle and gold watercolour for the background.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.  Bye for now.
