Monkey see

Monday morning... monkey make!

'Monkey see,' mixed media, art journal page, 7 by 10 ins.

Mostly pan pastels for the green background and for some of the shading on the monkeys.

I watched lots of  monkey-world repeats on TV on Sunday...so monkeys were on my mind this morning.  I did a journal page  as a quick intro to drawing some monkeys and thinking of some possible ideas for paintings.

The monkey figurine in the top right corner is an interpretation of an African tribal statue; but the monkey is a lion-tailed macaque from India...so a well-travelled page content.

Hope you have a great week!!

Bye for now.
