Acrylics mostly.
'In the bird garden', 12 ins sq., paper.
close-up
Recently, I am enjoying exploring texture in paint. I am using palette knives and shapers as well as brushes to spread paint on the paper.
The above artwork is a scene from imagination but I loved visiting the tropical bird parks in NZ when I lived there and I enjoy visiting the birds in my local zoo here in England. I haven't been to the zoo, or even the park, since this crazy lockdown at the beginning of 2020 though!!
What is you new favourite technique or subject currently?
Bye for now.

Oh my gosh-I love this!!!
I'm trying to get back into watercolor...it's always been a mystery to me, so I want to try to get better. I'm so intersted in the fact that you live in England. I am loving some BBC shows, and I just love some of the English traditions-love the history too...
Love this June - can imagine it being from a story from a much loved childhood book. Smashing texture! Thanks for your comments on my abstract - it was the first time I'd used a knife too - so thats what I want to use more this year - plus I got a few neon acrylics for odd splashes of colour and want to do more with them.
Wondering are you watching Grayson Art club? It's great to see so many enthusiastic about art.. hope you have a good day..Gill x
