Children

Two ink drawings featuring children with pets.

'Girl with a mouse', inks, 12 by 12 ins., card

'Urchin with a little bird', inks, 12 by 12 ins., card

Children with pets turned up in 2 ink drawings, yesterday and today. Not surprising really as I loved pets when I was a child.

I even bought myself a white mouse when I was around 8 years old but I was not allowed to keep it.  So when I was an adult...I bought 2 mice and ,of course, soon had 'millions' of mice in my house!!

Today, I have only a small yorkie who is around 14 years old.

Wishing you and your pets (if you have them) a great weekend.

Bye for now.

As a parent, educator, and pet lover, I love your two portraits of children with their pets. I also really like the sculptural look of your drawings. Thanks for your recent visit and blessings!

What a great technique you have to produce these marvellous paintings. They look like etchings.
I like your header very much too.

What delightful pen and ink drawings June. I had a much loved cat and a hamster that only lived a very short life when I was a little girl. I think the bond between children and animals is a lovely subject for art. xx

Amazing art work! Love all the details.
A sad story you couldn't keep your mouse. I have such good memories to all pets I've had. I always thought I would have a little zoo when I grew up, but reality is with a fulltime job there is no time for a zoo. I do have 3 cats that give me lots of joy.
