'Her ship is coming in,' collage and acrylics, 11 by 9 ins., paper
'Blue lady', acrylics, 15 by 11 ins., paper
1. Her ship is coming in: Pam's project number 11.
I like the vintage feel of this project, rather like an old manuscript page. I was mostly interested in practicing using acrylics in a dribbly fashion here.
I used a couple of subsitutions in method, e.g., I used a traced image rather than a transferred image. The girl was inspired by a photo on wetcanvas.
2. Blue lady: Pam's project number 4.
It was interesting to do a monochrome portrait. I used to do these in the past as under-paintings, which I would then go over with thin acrylic glazes of colour. I may glaze over this one, actually.
Pam achieved a more flowing look to the hair (using a stabilo pencil) so I think I'll do another monochrome and try to get that flowing watery look! A portrait from imagination.

My stamps and stencils came from www.creatandcraft.tv. I received 6 sets...below is set 1. I used one of the stamps from set 1 (the clockface) for the background in painting 1.
