Harvest moon

Some art from this week.

1. Harvest moon: I decided to collage +Gelli Arts gelli printed deli paper to a piece of fairly heavy paper and then looked for images in the paint splodges.

The image of a girl with some pet birds in front of a harvest size moon seemed to make best sense of the splodges for me.

The image at the moment is fairly roughly painted,  but I like it this way.  I can always do another version of the image later, by tracing the image and painting it in another medium or colour scheme.

2.Lotus flower mandala: this is a simple lotus flower mandala from the course by +Julie Gibbons , five days of Mandala magic.  

I used Berol kids markers to colour it.  I have had these markers for years...and they are still fresh and full of paint.

3.May we come indoors now? : This was from a reference photo in the WDE project at wetcanvas.

The original cats were ginger in colour, but I'd used so much black ink drawing these guys that when I put the orange on it mixed with the black ink and the 3 kitties became brown tabbies!!

Another one to do over perhaps.

That's about all I did...apart from adding to my bundle of gelli prints on deli paper.
