Cat girl of Camelon.
This week, I did this small drawing based on a lesson by Deb Weiers. in LFI-17. It uses ink as well as collage (on her top).
You can see Deb's wonderfully expressive work on facebook and instagram.
I was born and brought up in a village called Camelon in Scotland and so this is a kind of self portrait. We always had a house cat (and dog) when I was growing up and I have continued my love of house pets. My favourites are tabbies and yorkies.
Protection.
This doodle was to try out a dip pen. I have always shied away from dip pens with nibs for fear of ink blots, but this nib pen seemed quite well behaved and also why not incorporate blots into your art work if they occur?
The subject matter turned out to be mother with child by chance.
