A room with a view. Pen and ink.

Pen and ink drawing.

'A room with a view', pen and ink, 12 by 9 ins., Bristol paper.

African girl with scenery.

I used mainly Pigma Micron 0.3 and 0.5 for this drawing.  Normally I use Uniball pens.  They seem similar in effect.

I'll leave her as a pen drawing...not adding pan pastel colour..to this version.  Maybe I'll feel like doing a second colour version later.

I used a photo reference from Annie Hamman to achieve a realistic portrait.

I normally switch between representational and stylized approaches in my work.  Its good to have 2 different styles, because when I get tired of one, I can renew my interest by switching to the other.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

Bye for now.
