'Collie in fields,' watercolours, 10 by 12 ins., Fabriano paper.
June, ready to go into town to visit BP portrait exhibition.
June, in the city art gallery.
I managed to visit the portrait painting exhibition this week. It was very dark in the gallery rooms for that exhibit so I didn't take photos of the artworks, but I took a photo of the catalogue and display notice. Mostly, the portraits used oils and were painted in a representational, traditional/classical style. I liked the paintings of people from other cultures.
I managed a watercolour painting of a collie yesterday, inspired by a photo on wetcanvas.
I have had 3 border collies in my life. Dillin and Chester when I lived in Scotland; and Trigger, when I lived in NZ. A bit of a Western cowboy theme going on with naming my dogs!
That's all for this post.
Linking to PPF.
Hello from Susie!
Bye for now.

Gorgeous collie dog art
Beautiful Collie !
Love your collie painting. My last dog was a border collie, too, and the best companion anyone could ever have. I still miss her! The portrait exhibition looks great, as does Miss Susie. There's a big Paul Klee show coming here soon, so I'm looking forward to it. Happy weekend, Valerie

Really wonderful watercolor. I am taking classes for wc and find it a difficult medium to work in. Practice is the name of the game. Yours is really lovely. Great photos of you too.
