The visitor.

Acrylics.

'The visitor,' acrylics, 12 by 12 ins., paper.

Fun with acrylics and imagery drawn from an underlying gelli-print on paper.

Finding the images in the gelli printed paper and then working them up into an acrylic painting seems enjoyable for me these days.  It results in unusual images and colours. I then have to think of a story-line to go with the imagery and this is fun for me.

Anyone else trying out gelli prints for making paintings?

Linking to PPF.

Bye for now.

I really like how you arrived at your beautiful painting June. No, I haven't used gelli prints but it sounds fun from what I've read about them.
Love the colours you've used too :D)

What a beautiful painting June, so serene in composition. Magnificent..
I have been recently been trying to use up old paper stock when Gelli printing. A good way to double recycle.
Happy PPF Tracey.

The intensity of color highlights the power of the emotion in this piece.

ItsI really nice! No, I haven't used Gelli prints. I'm bad at sketching, so I paint landscapes.
