The mixed media painting above started out as a collage of gelli-printed deli paper.
I discovered a cat and a monkey and developed these images into this painting.
Needless to say, it went through a lot of changes to get to this stage, which I will call finished, even although it is quite rough in style.
The cat-woman and the monkey, in this painting, symbolize protection by mother figures, in my mind at least.
Zoo visit.
On a visit to the zoo, on Monday this week, I enjoyed the walk around the ring-tailed lemur enclosure.
