Acrylics.
'African beauty', acrylics A4, paper.
Update.
Now entitled, 'Naomi'.
I painted this portrait over the last fortnight, experimenting with using a limited palette of yellow ochre, light red, black and white.
It took a while to get all the features looking acceptable to me. (My eyes are acting up a bit these days.)
I like the limited palette and I like the way she turned out. I feel I could improve bits here and there. I also know from experience that its better to leave the work when you think its OK, rather than to make the mistake of moving onto the step of...I'll just tweak it here and there. That is of course the road to ruin! I will therefore leave it here.
I hope you have had a good week. Have a lovely weeend.
Best wishes.
June and Susie.
P.S. Here's the bit of tinkering I managed to do. I repainted her chin! I yhink that area looks better now! More rounded. Bye!
