1. ATC swap

I signed up for an ATC swap: In the style of Carla Sonheim.  I had to look her up and found that she does lovely loose style 'blobby' animals.  Animals created from blobs, spots, found stains, etc.  Any random  shape that you can find and turn into an animal- real or imaginary.  

I gave it a whirl this morning and this little monkey appeared.  I am looking forward to making more animals for the swap.

2. Mixed media webinar

I attended a webinar on mixed media techniques on Sunday...but got to it late and so only caught the end of it.  I think they will have more in the future.

I tried out one of the techniques in my small index card journal: painting by spreading with a plastic card, such as a bank credit card.  It turned out OK much to my surprise. And this was done at 5 am. Perhaps I will add some words to the journal page.

Also I will try this technique later, in a larger size later and in daylight!
