Contemplating the grid. Journal page.

Journal 52 challenge for last week was 'Grid'.  Here's my page spread.

'Contemplating the grid',  watercolours, journal page

To make this page, I thought of the time I went to an exhibition of art by Paul Klee. It was many years ago in the Auckland City art gallery. From memory, the walls and floor were brown and made of wood, hence the brown background.

To do this page spread,  I used watercolours on thin sketchbook paper but watercolour paper would have been much better.  Still, from this,  I have decided I will use a watercolour book for one of my journals next year.

It took all week for this idea to germinate...when I first saw the prompt...GRID...I thought I'd never be able to do anything with it.

In the end, she was a delight to paint.  But my photo is not a good representation of the page.  Its difficult to get good photos in the poor light of winter...sorry!

I think we are at week 49 and so almost a year of work in the journal 25 book!!!

Have a great weekend all.

Bye......

Interesting concept! I like how you used two facing pages for this layout!
