Update 1.
As you can see, I was working on female portraits in acrylics this week. The red panda was based on a cuddly toy I have at home. As for the arum lilies, I used to have them in my garden when I lived in NZ, but then I had white ones. Red suited the painting more.
I am beginning to feel more at ease with working in acrylics for light (Caucasian) skin tones. I find African skin hues much easier to paint.
Color mixing sure is a complex study!! For example, getting the shadow colours to work. But I am enjoying experimenting.

You are so very good with people and animals. Your people aren't awkward like mine are!!! I think you are very good at mixing colors. Wish we lived close so we could paint together!
