Making my first junk journal

Journal made out of junk...flyers, old maps, envelopes, etc.

This journal is my first effort at a junk journal made up of old papers that might normally go in the bin...flyers, old envelopes, leaflets, etc.

I kept it small because it was my first try.  I had fun making it as I wasn't trying to make a 'perfect' booklet.  I used a cardboard box (Trifle container box) for my cover, which I will decorate later, and added 6 signatures sewn in with embroidery thread.

The doodle of eyes is on a squared lined page inside.  I used gel pens for the eyes and then added the black gesso around them for a night, or perhaps a cabaret, scene.

Because we have our focus on eyes in Show Your Face this month.
