save the monkey

wax and acrylics.

'Save the monkey', 11 by 15 ins., wax and acrylics, paper.

A girl holding a teeny monkey...an endangered lion-tailed macaque species ...hailing from South India.

This is in wax crayon and acrylics.  Next time I use wax, I will do an underpainting in watercolour or acrylics to ensure better coverage.

Bye for now...

OOps, forgot to link to paint party friday.

Here's the link below:-

Materials used in Save the Monkey:- +CARANDACHEcom , neocolour1, non soluble wax crayons (very rich in pigment, especially when buffed with cloth) and a mix of +Daler-Rowney  and
+Winsor & Newton acrylic paints.

That great painting could be used to help save the endangered lion-tailed macaque species. You caused me to research this special little monkey. Thanks for the inspiration from your inspiration.

Very colorful piece of artwork. Great job on it all but tiny things are so much harder to do and you did it with the monkey.
