Gold fish bowl

A drawing in pen and ink wash.

'The goldfish bowl', pen and ink wash, 12 ins square, paper

I had a slow start to the week.  I tried some gelli printing for collage papers.  I have a small stache of these now.

Then I eventually did this drawing of a girl with her pet goldfish and naughty pet cat, using India ink in black and some Bombay ink in teal and red.

This cat is probably hoping for fresh fish instead of the usual tinned food.  I gave this cat tabby stripes as I've mostly had tabbies in the past.

Just now, I have cats on my mind as I am thinking of possibly getting a kitten...only after Guy Fawkes night has passed.  No need to scare a new kitten with all the banging and whizzing of the rockets and Catherine wheels that happens this time of year.

So have a lovely fireworks weekend...UK people!  Fireworks, bonfires, and barbecued sausages.  I have a packet of sparklers ready...for a tame-ish Guy Fawkes night .....on November 5.

Bye for now.

Lovely piece June, made me smile. My cat was always fascinated by the fish in the aquarium, it was her TV! Hugs, Valerie

I am dreading tomorrow night :/ Our dog gets terrified when the banging starts, runs and hides in the bathtub if she sit on us :/
