Small starts to the week.

Small journal spread and a couple of ATC's to start the week.

 'Utmost joy', ATC, mixed media.

'Bush baby', ATC, pen and wash

'Moon Lady', journal page spread, mixed media

Here are the small starts I did to start the week off.
For me,  ATCs and journal pages are a relatively stress-free way to start the creative flow.

1. Utmost joy. I had some background ATCs prepared from a while back and so all I had to do was pick one and then start collaging...elephant from a leaflet, map from a paper napkin, some washi tape, and then some book text to sum up the feeling of the smiling elephant.

2. Bush baby.  Another prepared background in watercolour wash.  I then added a pen drawing.

I had bush babies on my mind after watching the spy camera series on BBC TV at the weekend.  It was a programme with cameras disguised as animals so that they could get up close and personal to wild herds and record some new and detailed animal behaviour information.

One of the cameras was disguised as a bush baby in a tree-hole, which spied on a group of chimps. Another camera was disguised as a tortoise and spied on an elephant herd.

I think the TV series is called Spy in the wild.

3. Moon Lady.  My small art journal is transforming into a poetry journal.

here is the text:

Glimmer
of moonrise

Two swallows in the rafters hear the long sigh
of the lady in the moon

She calls to the stars
clouds fill the sky

the seas turned round
evening after evening.

Hope you are having a lovely start to the week.

Bye for now!
