'What's up there?' ink and pan pastels, 12 ins sq., paper.
'Girl on yellow background,' ink and watercolours, A5 paper.
I made some cadmium yellow watercolour paint using the binder left over from my previous hand-made vermilion watercolour. So I tested it out on the background for the girl in photo 2. The handmade paint is very creamy and delicious. I think due to the addition of honey.
Here's the link to the recipe I use for making watercolour paint.
make paint
I just found out that you can buy a bottle of watercolour binder ready-made to add to your powdered pigments...i.e. if you don't want to find all the ingredients to make the binder yourself but want to use up some dry pigment. A bit of a short cut.
Bye for now.
