In a blue poppy field

The figures are in wax pastel and the background is in acrylic paint.  These two media seem to go together well.

This is another in my series of girls with birds.  I painted the blue poppies as the unusual colour of these Chinese poppies caught my eye and of course, adding flowers lends to the femininity of the image.
