Acrylics.
'Red hot panda'. Acrylics, 9 by 12 ins., paper.
'In the wetlands.' Acrylics, 11.5 by 16.5 ins., paper.
Two reworked acrylic portraits.
Still working on portraits in acrylics this week, but I think I will switch to watercolours as JULY is WORLD WATERCOLOUR MONTH!!
1. The red hot panda is a paint over of the original work where the girl wore a cold green dress. I felt she needed a red dress and so I changed it. That's the good thing about acrylics...you can paint over many many times to get the look you want and the layers give the image more depth of colour.
Original panda girl in green dress is at: http://artbyjunewalker.blogspot.com/2022/06/arum-lily-red-panda.html
I wonder, will you be joining in the July Watercolour events?

I love both! Amazing, that you can change the paintings so well, June.
Happy weekend xx
I like the red too-it seems like just the right color. Both of these paintings are beautiful.
